The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title is awarded by the American Kennel Club (AKC) to acknowledge "Responsible Owners with Well-Mannered Dogs."  In CGC, dogs who successfully pass the 10 item test earn a certificate and/or the official AKC CGC title. After certification, dogs may be listed with "CGC" after their names.
